Title: Can Only Hear Pilots at KBNA Gnd/Twr
Post by: ladydovahkyyn on November 27, 2019, 05:11:52 PM
I like to sit at BNA's overlook and listen to ATC, but recently I've noticed that the Gnd/Twr frequency is suddenly just pilots, no ATC to be found. This has only been a problem for a few days at most, and it's both on the Android app and the site in a browser. Anyone else having this problem/know how to fix it?

The old receiver site is no longer available so the BNA receivers are in a temporary location. Within the next month or so they'll be moving to a location closer to the airport.

That's great information and comforting - we were worried wed lost access around here! Thanks for the heads up 😊

Any update on the Tower and Ground feeds from KBNA?

No update. We hope to have things set up within the next 30 days at a new location.

It appears the Twr only freq is experiencing the same issue. Are they hosted in the same place?

Still working out the details with the new location(s) to have things sounding even better than we did at the previous site.  The current (temporary) site is by no means as good as the one used over the past few years, but having something online for the time being is better than nothing at all.

I assure you that this has not in any way been forgotten about.  Currently, the various complications that go along with the quarantine situation have changed a lot of people's priorities and have made site access difficult.  That's perfectly understandable and is something we can certainly wait-out.

Thanks for your patience,
 Matt
