Was working yetserday and my route for the day took me to Bradley Int airport in Connecticut. Had my scanner abaord and was liteing to loads of Bos ARTCC whilst traveling up 95 and 91. Was getting botrh puilot and controller on 125.575 and 134.0 while on 95 and on 135.325 and 133.425 in thye BDL area around 91. Nice little airport too if I may add. Nice scenery

The 125.57 and 34.0 transmitters are in Shelton so it makes sense.  The BOSOX 47 and Athens 38 x-mitters are in Woodstock I believe.  Along that route, you should be able to get 128.1 (PWL06), 124.85 (PVD34) and 127.65 (CTR07) since they have x-mitters at the same location(s).

Yes, it's a nice field and I like the ILS approach to 6 and 24.  There is a neat museum in Windsor Locks called NEAM (New England Air Museum) that has some real neat things.  They re-broadcast Approach and Tower transmissions live as well.  :lol:

didnt have 128.1 programmed at that time i only heard pilot on 124.85 and i havent heard 127.65 used in a while what use does that sector control if i may ask

btw was really nice seeing southwest w/thier bright colors flying overhead. Wish they would fly LGA or EWR :cry:

127.65 is the Chester 06 sector which controls north, northwest to northcentral Connecticut.  Basically a triangular chunk of CT (west of BDL) and western Mass:

are there any commercial airline traff on that freq or is it like general aviation/vfr traffic strictly. I do remember years ago hearing BOS-LGA,BOS-EWR traffic on that freq.

It's a ZBW low sector.  I hear airlines and GA on my low sectors my friend...  I don't recieve it, but I'd assume sectors are not "strictly GA/vfr."  It's a fairly poor assumtion to think that it is only GA/vfr.
