BOS ARTCC 128.05
« on: April 27, 2006, 12:41:48 PM »
Was just wondering if any of the BOS ARTCC feeders considered adding in 128.05 to their feeds ?  128.05 is a very inportant sector with tons of in and outbounds to YUL,YYZ,EWR,JFK traffic

It would be an interesting sector, but it's too far away from Boston to get complete coverage, all you would be able to hear would be the southern fringes. The closest location where there is a current feed would be in Quebec City, were with a good antenna you would get 100% coverage of aircraft in the 128.050 sector. Ideally a new feeder in northern Maine would be the better option (hint to anyone out there). I'd certainly be interested in more coverage of some high altitude sectors. I don't want to add any more frequencies to the BOS ARTCC (Atlantic) radio because it's almost too busy as it is now. I'd be up for buying another radio dedicated to the Boston high sectors to the west (135.325, 128.325, 118.825, 135.700, 121.350) but I'm not sure if Dave can handle any more radios at his location ?

I removed duplicate frequencies between zbw_test and zbw_dj.  I also added 128.05 to zbw_test just to see what we hear from here in north central Massachusetts.

Thanks for the add of 128.05 also from what I heard on the Charlottetown/Prince Edward Isle feed 128.05 also handles some DTW/ORD arrival traffic over Maine
