Title: Australian & Pacific ATC Satellite Comms
Post by: Comms on January 12, 2010, 07:35:52 AM
Hi all.

Just wondering if any one knows what has happened to the ATC comms that used to be broadcast from the Optus C1 Satellite or where it has moved to.

I used to monitor this for many years on and off as time allowed on Optus B1 and then C1 when it shifted and have had a break for approx the last 10 months now due to work commitments and though whilst I am back home and on Holidays for the month of January I thought I'd get back into it again whilst time allowed.

I was surprised to find that all the ATC comms as far as I can tell any way ( I stand to be corrected ) have vanished off of Optus C1.

I checked all my equipment and dish location and all is good there I have 18V going to the LNB and have a fantastic view of C1 according to my sat detector.

I went had had a check of Optus D1 just in case it had moved to there but again no luck.

I had a read of Mark Fahey's page at ( http://www.satdirectory.com/pacific.html ) just to make sure that nothing had changed all be I acknowledge that this page may be out of date.

Any help on this subject would be very much appreciated. :-)

Regards
Mav ( Melbourne Australia )

Hi Mav,

I am the feeder of the Australian Satellite ATC feed. At the moment I am non-stop traveling away from home, but I will be back early next week. I will make contact with you then and help you get up and running.

Cheers,
Mark
