I was flying today talking to NY approach and overheard a southwest pilot complaining about a routing ther got into Islip (Long Island, NY) that added 10 mins flying time. The controller (who was pretty cranky) said the routing was based on the runway JFK was using. A minute later the controller asked, "Since when does your company's crappy boarding procedure not let children board first." I would have loved to find it in the archives and posted it but I guess there's no feed. It's generally an interesting frequency (118.0) with lots of training activity and controlleres with a lot of character. It also covers the charlie airspace around Islip. If anyone can add it as a feed, that'd be rad.
