Listening to KBOS tower and heard a British pilot with the callsign "Ascot (I think) 6601 Heavy". Couldn't find it on flightaware...
who is this?

"ASCOT" (Air Support Command Operations Task) is a Royal Air Force callsign. I think the only "heavies" they have are the VC-10 and the L-1011, not sure what type "6601" would be ? DJ

This is a C-17A the English version and since it is an active Military aircraft it was not trackable, from the 99TH SQUADRON.
