Beverly Eckert Colgan 3407 EGPWS questions
« on: June 01, 2009, 09:09:37 PM »
If the Dash-8 is fairly hi-tech with the EGPWS (enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System) then why don't we see any of the alerts in the Cockpit Voice Recorder transcript from the NTSB ?
I am not a pilot but I would think that if have many peoples lives are at risk and you have paid millions of dollars to have the best equipment then would it make sense to have it switched on as a matter of necessity ?

Why don't we see the "STALL" warning in the CVR transcript ?

Why don't we see the "TERRAIN" "TERRAIN" "PULL-UP, PULL-UP"
in the CVR transcript ?

Or am I missing something ?

Also why don't we get to hear from The KBUF ATC who was logged onto Colgan 3407 ?
Why does the NTSB not let the Public Hear the last 10 minutes of Colgan 3407 ? (I don't trust them after what happened to TWA-800)
Why don't we get to see the radar tracking for the last 10 minutes of Colgan 3407 ? ( so we know the last altitude and position and speed of Colgan 3407 ) (in case the CVR and FDR have been doctored )
It gets harder for them to hide the truth with more information from different sources.
Does anyone think it is strange that Northrop Grumman Employees died on Colgan 3407 and their ADIRU is responsible for serious plane problems
like those on QF-72?
Similarly Raytheon employees died on September 11th flights and they were responsible for making special remote controlled aircraft weapons systems.

Qantas Flight QF-72 7th October 2008 had problems with ADIRU made by Northrop Grumman with the following consequences...
Quote
"
This led to several consequences, including false stall and over speed warnings,'' and later generated very high and incorrect values for the aircraft's angle of attack. This led to the flight control computers commanding the aircraft to pitch down
