Any specifics, or just a cheap antenna that works good  :D

ouch, that gives no details...

Maybe a Jpole or a discone. A jpole is a simple antenna, works on pipes, and its about 5-7 feet tall. A discone is I guess discone in shape, its smaller in size usually, it costs more though. If you need links, tell me your price range...

BTW while we are the subject does anyone have one of those car antennas that look like a cell phone antenna with the squiggly poigtail curl in the middle that is mounted on the windshield ?? If so how good is this contraption in recieveing air band ???

Some are not tuned for airband, so you have to look for one that says in its description something like 118.0 to 135.0 (airband freqs) I doubt the cheap ones are that great
