Man, those people can make FSX hum!  Between the formation flying, the multiple angles, and the good frame rates, that is some impressive work there.

I agree wholeheartedly with what Peter said.  That's real exciting to watch too.

Based on my understanding it has to be introduced by a third-party weather generating tool that uses an API (realtime program interface) to constantly monitors all of the events in the sim.  I would surmise that these folks didn't want wake turbulence to literally upset their video so they chose not to utilize the option.

Funny but wake turbulence was my first thought, too.  Especially being under that 747.
