Stopped by the Boston site tonight to do some network work.

I looked into the Approach receiver noise problem and could not locate the exact noise source.  However, the clues point to a bad power supply.  I will put al lthe Bosotn scanners on a common power supply with good filtering next time I can get to the site, hopefully in the next week or so.

I replaced the Boston App/Dep receiver today - the old receiver has lousy noise blanking so it will be put to use at another location.  I also added a preamp ahead of the receive bandpass filter there...this will reduce some of the noise sometimes heard on the signals.  I think receive quality is on par with JFK now.
