Hey all! For those who didn't know, AF001 flew into KONT this afternoon. I caugh it all on my scanner. What a mess for other planes...
Check it out at liveatc.net. Go to the archives for 8-29-05 from 1500 - 1530 EDT (1200 - 1230 PDT).
I'll try to get it on the way out as well...
-
WTF!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
Why is the archive out for 1430 - 1530?
Dave?
-
Both 1400 - 1430 and 1530 - 1600 come up. However, 1430-1500 and 1500 - 1530 dont. As explained here http://www.liveatc.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=732 , the archiving that happens is not a full proof system. But all the other feeds have archives that come up during those times, so it wasent the server that holds the archives. I can only assume your feed went down during that time and re-connected, erasing the archive in the process and not allowing it to be saved on the server.
-
Nope. My feed was active and connected the entire time. I listened to it via my feed over liveatc.
*EDIT* - I just double checked with stream transcoder and it shows connected the entire time...

Sometimes lost archives can be the result of many rebuffers. Even if the feed was up, as Ed mentioned, the archive system is not fool proof system.
Thanks,
-
Is that kind of like a 'fool-proof' system?
I guess I'll just take a pill and lay down.

Well that's a shame, I was hoping to listen to it. Oh well, better luck on the departure.
Thanks for the help guys.
