ACARS along with Live ATC
« on: October 12, 2006, 09:14:23 AM »
I have set up an ACARS server (location is Dayton, Ohio). I use it along with the live KDAY feed here to really get a great picture of air traffic in my area. If anyone is interested in monitoring this area, the acars server is dayacars.no-ip.org

I get hits (on the acars feed) from as far south as Nashville, Tn. as far north as around Chicago, as far east as Pittsburgh, and as far west as St. Louis. I occasionally get hits beyond those boundries, but for the most part, they fall into that grid.

I use ACARSD to run the server on my desktop that has an airband scanner hooked to it, then monitor it on my laptop using ClientNG software found on the ACARSD website:

Enjoy!
