AA 77 Controller from 9-11-2001

I can barely imagine the psychological stress when a controller is powerless to control the outcome of the more common in-flight emergency, but what this controller and the others in the tower with her at IAD went through must have been especially horrific.   

This must be an extraordinarily strong person to go back on the job after seeing what she saw on the scope that day.

Yes, she's got guts.   Good to see her overcome the mental trauma from those events.  For a lot of people it was a fork in the road that took them well away from their situation before the attacks.
