We have a 747-200 scheduled to come in to MSO. I have to park it, but I need the dimensions. Anyone know of a website that has a diagram of the planes dimensions, particularly the wheelbase? I already know the wingspan, length and all that, but I specifically need a diagram of the 747-200 to print out.

That might help, basic dimensions are about half way down.

I'm not at the airport right now, I'm at home. Just got the call before I left the office so I want to look a few things up tonight.

The boeing site would be fine if I could get it to print. Some pages will print, others won't.

I believe the wheel dimensions are the same as a -200, or at least pretty close, so yeah, that should be fine.

Well, two thing make this plane unique as far as ground handling. The first is the turning radius since we don't want to smash it into other airliners that will be at their gates, and the second is how far from the nose the marshaller needs to be. Since it's such a high cockpit, the marshaller needs to be a minimum of 84 feet from the plane. Any closer and he'll be out of view from the flight crew. Looking forward to it. I've handled DC-10's and the L1011, but this will be the biggest. Hope Dave can get MSO added to the archives in time since they plan to do some maneuvers and flyovers. Might be fun to listen to.

Oh, sorry. It's not scheduled until April. The crew gave us a LOT of advance notice. Don't worry, there will be a lot of photos and hopefully video on my website.

Yeah, it has the 747-200 in it. It might be a large attachment and not work, so I might have to email it to you.
