Title: 747 Cargo plane breaks in two during takeoff

I also saw some pictures of it(http://images.theglobeandmail.com/archives/RTGAM/images/20080525/wplanecrash0525/plane_500.jpg), and you start thinking, what the hell happened? It literally split into two parts. What could the causes be?

Many things can cause this. Some are weather, equipment failure, FOD, weight & balance not calculated correctly, pilot error, bird strike(s). Then plane makes premature contact with earth and breakup occurs.
It will be interesting to hear what the final report says.

Its also very old, might be fatigue
