Final approach frequencies for O'Hare KORD
« on: December 26, 2009, 15:08:06 UTC »
Anyone have the current Chicago TRACON final approach frequencies for KORD?  There are 5-7 arrival sectors and I wonder whether there are a couple dependable "final vector" frequencies...the approach sectors that hand off to ORD Tower.

Thanks,
Dave

as of may 2009 unless there has been a change , i retired from C90 in june here are the 5 vector freqs.

west arr/133.62 ,east arr/119.0, center arr/125.7, east trip/135.02 east feed/124.35.Center arrival freq only used when ORD is on West Flow rwys 27R/27L/28.any other time ORD is on 3 rwys east trip / east feeder is the freq used example rwy 4R/10/9R, 22R/27L/28, .most of the  time the trip final is on 124.35 and not on the east trip freq, the 2 primary vector freqs will be east/west arrival with the others used as needed.also when ORD is on 22R/14R/10 than the rwy 10 vector freq is 135.07 which is west feeder.

I know that at night mosr airports combine their ops on 1 frequency. O Hare is the same way. I was listening Saturday night to the approach and I was not hearing airplanes only the controllers. Is there any way that the frequency with the combined traffic can be added to the feed?

I've talked with Dave about this and I will try to get 125.0 which is departure frequency for O'hare used at night on a separate scanner. I've heard controllers asking to be called at that frequency so it is worth a check. I'll see what I can find out.

The app and dep feeds are now active. It appears the controllers are broadcasting on both frequencies at eve/night but pilots respond on dep frequency only.
