Title: 415.7 and 407.85
Post by: Chris102 on January 24, 2006, 04:27:21 PM
After reading an article about 415.7 and 407.85, I decided to give it a try. The aircraft was in the air yesterday, but I didn't pick up any transmissions. Would anyone know if my scanner is capable of recieving these transmissions? I'm using a Realistic Pro-58 UHF/VHF Scanner. I think it needs a new antenne, because I've never picked up anything on it. Below is the link to the article, which explains the "Northstar System".

Those all the old Echo-Fox frequencies.  That system was decomissioned in 1996.  You won't hear anything there.

It was a really cool system, but there are much better ways to accomplish the same need.  I still like EF though  :D

That link doesn't load for me...?

What are the ECHO FOXTROT frequencies?  Has the entire system been decomissioned, or are there still pockets where it operates?
