Feed Setup Pictures / Setting up a airband audio feed to a webpage
« Last post by Markkkk42 on July 23, 2024, 08:10:27 PM »
I want to setup a local CTAF audio feed to our clubs website. I have a Icom IC-A120 airband radio and am looking for a audio interface for the rx audio to go out to our clubs website that anyone can listen to. Is there a audio interface which I can then connect via wifi or ethernet to our router in the clubhouse that I can send the streaming to our website. I realize after looking around I may have to stream to a paid server then get that feed from the server to the website. I am looking for the interface from the radio to the router. I would prefer maybe a Raspberry Pi type rather than a windoze mini computer. Any suggestions would be appreciated

Most feeds are provided by volunteers; no feed is guaranteed to be up 24/7/365 and, unfortunately, feeds can go down at any time for reasons beyond the control of LiveATC.  There could be an equipment problem at the feed site or the feed site could be at a location that is not easy to get to.  Hopefully it'll come back online sooner rather than later.

seemed fine on the roll, then down.  RIP

A small airplane crashed while departing from an airport on Long Island, killing two people on board, according to officials.

The aircraft, a Beechcraft Bonanza A-36, was departing from MacArthur Airport in Ronkonkoma around 6:15 p.m. when it crashed, officials said. An airport employee who witnessed the incident said the plane tried to return to the runway shortly after getting airborne, but went down.

Two men — the pilot and the passenger — were pronounced dead at the scene, officials said. No other injuries were reported.

It was not clear where the plane was heading or why it might have attempted to return to the airport.

The airport's fire rescue unit responded to the scene. The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board will investigate the incident. The cause of the crash was not immediately clear.

The runway will remain closed as the investigation continues.

Fatal accident...
(22/July/2024)
- United States of America 🇺🇸 :
On July 22, 2024, at about 1213 local time, an experimental, amateur-built Lancair Super ES, registered to an individual out of Philadelphia, PA, N18BG, was destroyed when it impacted terrain while on approach to land at Oshkosh Regional Airport (OSH/KOSH), Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The two occupants onboard sustained fatal injuries. The flight originated from Hartford Municipal Airport (KHXF), Hartford, Wisconsin, and was destined to KOSH.
According to flighttracking history, N18BG departed from Trenton-Mercer Airport (KTTN), Trenton, New Jersey, at about 0804 LT, on a flight to KHXF. The airplane landed there at about 1057 LT.
According to Automatic Dependent Surveillance – Broadcast (ADS-B) data, at 1145 LT, the airplane departed from runway 27 at KHXF and entered a climbing left turn to a cruising altitude of about 2200 ft. The flight appears uneventful.
At about 1211:05 LT, the airplane started a descent towards the west (to OSH).
At 1713:03 LT, the airplane entered a right turn.
At 1713:32 LT, the airplane was at 950 ft, 91 knots, and entered the left base for runway 36.
At about 1713:46 LT, the airplane was at 975 ft, 59 knots, when the last ADS-B return was recorded about 1.50 miles south of the approach end of runway 36.
A preliminary review of the LiveATC recording suggests the aircraft was informed by the local controller about following a flight of two L39 high-performance jets "in the opposite right base", the controller told the pilot to "widen it out" and follow the two aircraft to runway 36L and cleared him to land at or after the yellow dot. There were no further communications from the accident aircraft.
- Pilot Info:
unknown
- Aircraft Info:
The accident aircraft, MSN 02G, was a four-seat, fixed-landing gear, composite airplane was equipped with a 310-horsepower Continental IO-550 engine.
According to the POH, the stall speed (VsO) is 65 mph or 56 knots.
