Aviation Audio Clips / TSC715 Cabin Pressure Problems
« Last post by RonR on Today at 07:02:39 PM »
On July 14, TSC715 was enroute to Montreal, Canada at FL350 when they began to have cabin pressure problems.  They declared an emergency and asked ATC to descend to 10000 feet.  At first they planned on diverting to KORF but decided against it because the runway wasn't long enough.  Instead they diverted to KIAD and landed safely there a short time later.

If the channel status shows as UP, that means the LiveATC feed equipment is properly connected to the network.  If there is no audio, that suggests that there may be problems with the radio portion of the setup.  It could be a bad radio, antenna problem or a problem with the coax cable from the antenna.  LiveATC is aware of the issue; hopefully it'll get fixed sooner rather than later.

The KTKI feed(on the web and in the app) shows that it is up but for the last couple of weeks there has been no audio transmission across the feed. Could someone please contact the person who hosts the feed and have them check the status of the equipment?
Thanks!

We are awaiting for a full equipment replacement at EHAM. There was storm damage to antennas and receiver equipment. We hope to have many frequencies back within the next 30 days.

JAMAICA, Queens (WABC) -- Nine people suffered minor injuries and dozens of flights were impacted after a small fire broke out at JFK Airport on Wednesday morning.

The fire broke out on an escalator in Concourse C and spewed smoke through Terminal 8 around 7:15 a.m.

About 960 people were evacuated from the area and taken to another part of the terminal. Nine people were injured -- all with minor smoke inhalation -- and four were taken to the hospital to be checked out.

The FDNY ventilated the terminal and it was cleared to reopen.

American Airlines, which occupies the terminal, said three American Eagle regional departures were canceled as a result of the fire, out of 89 total American flights scheduled to depart from Kennedy on Wednesday.
At least one in four American Airlines flights was delayed. Scores of others were canceled, altogether.

Christian Shaefer and his family were still waiting for their luggage after their American flight from Bermuda was canceled yesterday-rebooked this morning-then delayed several hours because of the fire.

"If we're just being told what time the flight was going to leave would have been okay. But the fact that it was just delayed and delayed and delayed and we couldn't leave the airport. So we look in on the on the board and it said, 2:00, 3:00, 4:00, 5:00. We said, 'Is it coming in?" And there was just no information and there was five or six people and we were just getting nothing." Shaefer said.

By midmorning, Terminal 8 was fully-ventilated and back in operation with delays lingering.

The exact cause of the fire is under investigation.

(what sounded like a landing gear issue, must have turned out to be something else for him to come up that short of the runway)
(there is Ring Doorbell video of the plane crashing in the front yard, incredible no one was killed)

ROY, Utah — Two people were on board a small plane when it crashed into a the front yard of a Roy home Wednesday afternoon, near the Ogden-Hinckley Airport.

The two people onboard the plane were taken to area hospitals with minor injuries."She was the one who came out, tried to offer them water, they said because they were in shock that they couldn't get any water or anything right now, but she came out and she saw the gentleman had a cut on his eye or above it on his head and then the young lady just looked like she was in shock," said Baugh.

Nearby neighbors like Pat Bouwhuis say they heard the crash as well.

"I thought a house had exploded or something and I came out front and I saw the airplane over in the driveway two doors down" said Bouwhuis.

Bouwhuis says she has lived in the neighborhood for 62 years and never seen anything like this.

"Not this close, No, no, never," said Bouwhuis.

Sgt. Josh Taylor with the Roy City Police Department says the plane crash did cause damage to one home in the area, as well as damage to some nearby trees. He says there were no other injuries other than the occupants of the plane.
