Wow, it wasnt just one plane on the runway, sounds like 3 planes were cleared to cross 4L right after SWR17K was cleared to start it's takeoff roll on 4L.

On April 17, SWR17K was cleared for takeoff on KJFK's runway 4L and had accelerated to about 40Kts when the flight crew rejected the takeoff because of traffic on the runway.  Several aircraft had previously landed on the parallel runway 4R and were given clearance to cross runway 4L.  The flight crew of SWR17K spotted the crossing traffic and stopped their takeoff roll.  They exited runway 4L at the crossing runway 31L and taxied back to the departure end of runway 4L and took off about 15 minutes later.  At the time, runway 4L was being handled by tower frequency 123.9 and 4R was handled by tower frequency 119.1

Aviation Audio Clips / UAL260 Tailstrike on Takeoff from KIAD
« Last post by RonR on Today at 10:04:08 AM »
UAL260 was departing KIAD on April 20 on runway 1R when they had a tailstrike while rotating.  They climbed up to 10000 feet and asked for vectors to a holding point while they checked things out.  The flight crew decided to declare an emergency and return to KIAD, landing safely about 45 minutes later on runway 1R.  They opted not to dump fuel before landing.  The aircraft taxied off the runway and stopped to allow the emergency crews to inspect the aircraft.

Two patients received on-site treatment, with one being transported to the hospital in stable condition
– Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services responded to an aircraft emergency at Paso Robles Municipal Airport, located at 4900 Wing Way, on Friday at 11:24 a.m.

Upon arrival, firefighters discovered an aircraft 300 feet off the runway, flipped over, and resting on its roof. Three individuals trapped inside required assistance. Firefighters observed fuel leaking from both wings, which they promptly contained while aiding the passengers. Two patients received on-site treatment, with one being transported to the hospital in stable condition.

The response effort involved two fire engines, a truck, a heavy rescue vehicle, an airport crash rescue unit, and one Battalion Chief from Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services. Additionally, under the city’s automatic aid agreement, one battalion chief and one fire engine responded from Cal Fire/SLO County. A total of 15 firefighters, along with support from the Paso Robles Police Department and San Luis Ambulance Service, collaborated to manage the situation.

Listener Forum / The one freq archive I need & can't find @ KMCO
« Last post by Zoso on April 20, 2024, 01:30:40 PM »
I'm retired major airline guy and just trying to find an archive from today 4/20 of KMCO tower east, 118.45 I think, from 14:30Z - 15:00Z. When I search it comes up empty, so maybe it was not archived. My wife wanted me to explain something about a flight she was on and I would need more info before drawing conclusions.
