Comparison Airspy R2/mini/Discovery vs RTL SDR dongles
« on: April 07, 2021, 04:21:23 PM »
Has anyone bothered to compare the usual RTL SDR dongles with the slightly more expensive variants of Airspy? These would also be supported by rtl_airband. Is the dynamic range, noise immunity, low noise etc. audibly better? If yes, I would finance an update for my feed.

Thanks
Tom

There are some Airspy vs RTL SDR comparisons on the flightaware forum along with a lot of details about Airspy operation and configuration. These discussions are geared to ADSB data reception rather than air traffic voice communications but there is a wealth of information.
