Title: SBFI new antenna
Post by: sbfi_feeder on September 03, 2005, 03:37:56 PM
SBFI is running with a new 1/4 wavelength groundplane antenna, tuned to 126.725 Mhz (mid of our scan band). I didn't find any RG-213 or RG-8/X cable in my hometown, so I used RG-58U. The cable run is about 40 ft.

SNR improved considerably, as well as range.

I would like to thank Dave and the fellow feeders who alerted me on the polarization issue.

Cheers,

Ricardo

You will be surprized just how much those radials will improve your Signal. That is a wonderful looking antenna. Great Job.
