Title: New KORD Feed Setup (June 2012)
Post by: dave on July 10, 2012, 06:20:03 AM
This is a LiveATC "superfeed" setup...and the largest one currently (by a small margin).  Thanks to Aviation Universe (http://www.aviationuniverse.us) for hosting the equipment!

Good Lord! How about some type of enclosure there, Edison?  :-P

And what a guess - from the exterior shot I figured Franklin Park or Bensenville (before clicking the AU link).
Once a NW Sider, always a NW Sider

How is the receiver antenna split being done, Dave?  Mini-circuits splitter or something?

Had a long layover in Chicago the other day and got a chance to visit the store. They picked us up at the airport and drove us back after we visited the shop. It's a great aviation store. Seeing the feed equipment in person was impressive. Thanks Dave and LiveATC and Aviation Universe for the feed. It's one I enjoy listening to.
