Post by: LORm on January 03, 2006, 04:35:32 PM: Box above it is an AOR SR2000 Frequency Monitor. Guess what, it also has a type of spectrum analizer. Its display is currently not on the spectrum display but it can display a 10mhz spectrum section in a waterfall type display. Coverage is 25mhz-3ghz. To hear anything you have to connect a external speaker or hook it up to another AOR wideband reciever, but it's generally used to monitor and find radio transmissions by using the waterfall display.

Those white receivers look nice! What brand are they?

Post by: CYUL on January 14, 2006, 04:17:20 PM: R&S equipment is seriously good equipment. You do bnot see much of it in North America for sale except for the odd one on Ebay. You're mosre likely to see more Watkins & Johnsom receivers here in Canada or the USA. But I cannot complain about my ICOM receivers, they're sensitive enough for almost everything.

Post by: PIT on April 14, 2006, 12:10:46 AM: does the pre-amps help with reception? i have one on the PIT feed, but its for more of tv freqs. When i move my antenna i sometimes get shocked because of the amp on the line. Also, How many antennas do you have. I use one for 3 scanners. Its a coax all the way down till the scanner there is a coax to BNC connector and i use a commercial coax splitter to split the line into each of the scanners.
