KTOL J-pole antenna
« on: June 09, 2006, 06:30:05 PM »
Just finished installing my new J-pole antenna on the roof of my house and now I can pick up KTOL Tower, ground and planes clearly. Thanks to Michael at KB9VBR J-pole Antennas for building the antenna, Thanks to Jason, Sean, and Dave for answering all my questions about getting an antenna and getting a feed going, even if they maybe they thought some of the questions were stupid. Hope to be online shortly with KTOL Tower.

That thing looks huge!  How far are you from the airport?

10 Miles from KTOL. I was hoping to pickup KDTW but to far away 40 miles. Maybe a Yogibeam antenna one of these days. Just afraid if I get a Yogibeam I will still not pickup KDTW.

Hi there Darrel,

Did you build the antenna by yourself or you bought it? And another question, are there any hills/mountains from your antenna and KTOL?

Thanks.
