KSEA Final feed
« on: May 13, 2008, 11:30:15 PM »
Here's my very humble feed for KSEA Final -- proof you don't need much.  I got a J-pole and a Scanner and an old Dell PC -- done!  The audio ain't the best, but I'm 10+ miles from the tracon antenna so I feel it's pretty good under the circumstances.

Plus the cats watching over it are a bonus...

Well done!

Is that j-pole's permanent place right there on your porch?  :)

Indeed!  I was going to secure it to the deck in some way, but I'm lazy and it outlasted all the winter storms, so -- whatever works! ;)  :-D

I am not certain on the software you are using, but would it be possible to publish the KSEA streams in the shoutcast directory?  There is a shoutcast genre called "scanner" that you could put it into.

There are a couple mobile applications (such as iRadio for the iPhone) that use shoutcast as a master list of streams for the user to select from.  It would be neat for plane spotting, waiting in the airport, and usage on the go.
