Title: KSBM Feed Setup
Post by: htcevolh on February 24, 2020, 05:07:01 PM
Hey all. Here is my setup for the KSBM CTAF/App feed.

Top Raspberry Pi feeding ADS-B- Raspberry Pi 3 running piaware, blue flightaware dongle, homebrew 8 element collinear antenna mounted on the roof.

Bottom Raspberry Pi feeding KSBM CTAF/App- Raspberry Pi 3 running RTL-Airband, RTL SDR dongle, homebrew half-wave flower pot antenna mounted on the roof.

All of which is self-contained on a board allowing it to hinge up into the joists for storage.

I'm trying to set up something similar for our airport KPVB. I'd like to monitor/,mix two frequencies. CTAF and  Chicago Center. Can you point me to any resources you used to build and configure this? Did you try feeding both signals through the pi? You can pm me if you'd like. dougduplessis at gmail.com. Thanks!

I currently feed to PIAware and ADSBExchange from my home MOM. I've also built a Stratux ADS-B receiver for use in my plane. I have no experience with the feed going to LiveATC...
