Just got it setup and running, still will probably have some work stabalizing it a bit more but it is at least functional now and sounds pretty decent

Nice Setup !

Can you hear the Houston Center controllers from the Laredo RCAG on 127.80, 126.10 and 133.75 by any chance ? A dedicated feed with those frequencies would be great if it is possible ?!

The antenna I got was this one : http://www.jpole-antenna.com/shop/aviation-airband-118-128-mhz-j-pole-antenna/  It's an 80 inch pole and that works great for getting it over the top of my shed I have. So far only complaint I have is I probably still need a little more altitude on it since there is rare occasions when ground planes do come in with some noise. At some point when money and time permits I will probably see if I can raise it higher.

Right now I'm about 3 miles from the center point of the runway about 200 degrees from it so I get the planes leaving perfectly.

As for Houston ctr I haven't yet had a chance time wise to test it. My guess is I would be able to pick up the planes up high within probably a 15-30 mile range (so far thats what I have been getting on the tower range). So if that were mingled in with the signal from Houston I'm sure it would help out this direction. As of right now I just would need a splitter and another tuner and I bet it would work. When I get some more time I will test it out. Right now time has not allowed me much freedom for my hobbies....

Looks like the Houston Center RCAG site is about 6 miles southeast of the airport. You can see it on Google Earth at N29 29 01 W099 23 01 (the 4 antenna towers). Which would put it around 7 miles from your location (3 miles from the airport bearing 200). So you might be able to hear the controllers ? As far as aircraft go, at typical cruise altitudes up around between 35,000 to 40,000 feet you should be able to get them out to around 200 miles.

Might be talking about a different airport? Laredo international airport is at 27 degrees north 32 min 36.96, West 99 degrees 27 minutes 25.92 seconds

Yep that should be close enough. I just need to test it at some point but I bet I can pick that tower up easy enough.

Bare minimum I can pick up 133.75 down here, just tuned it in and coming in loud and clear. Some of the others I am not as sure because I tried some of the others and it was dead quiet (could just be activity wise). But was just listening on the 133.75 to a southwest flight and an aeromexico flight. Seems like I can pick up the flights but not the controller very well (Now my knowledge of Houston center is somewhat limited as to if they also rebroadcast off those towers or how that works but at least I can get some more air traffic around my area that's underserved).  At some point in the future when money is not an issue might have to get a splitter of the line in from the antenna and another tuner and run into a second line in as another feed.
