Here are brand new pictures for the KBDR/KHPN/N90/ZBW feed's brand new setup!!

We are now using an exterior mounted, home-built copper J-pole antenna.

New Picture of 6 port wall plate.  Initially had two antenna wires (only had space for 1 in the plate) running inside a wall into a 4-port wall plate, but swapped it for the 6 to accomidate the second antenna [wire].  This allows me to switch between my discone or my J-pole antenna without having to leave my room.  It is mounted flush with my ethernet and telephone lines.

-The scanner (Uniden BC780XLT) cost me $315 in November of 03 or 04.  It is discontinued and IMO, one of the best radio scanners ever made.
-BNC cable = ~ $30 for good RG8/U and RG58/U
-BNC Connectors and wall plate = ~ $10
-My primary computer which I stream it on is very expensive (I won't give out the price, since I already had it before I started the feed)
-15+ cumulative hours in a steamy attic in July (not much fun at all..I sure wouldn't recommend it as a new summer sport)

Feeding over LiveATC.net compensation = $0.  It is on a volunteer-only basis and I really enjoy doing it.  It brings both my passion for aviation, ATC, and thinking skills into one location and I really enjoy that mix.

Please do contribute though, to defray some of the costs of the LiveATC.net website.  Although the money donated doesn't always go directly to the feeders, it will provide you and others a better LiveATC.net experience in the future.

Someone on the board recently asked me about how I installed/used the wall plate as I did (shown by the picture), so I decided to share my my response here as well:

Instead of taking a picture of the wall plate and snap-in connectors, I thought'd it be best just to link you to the items I purchased from RadioShack.

First, here's the link to the 6-Port Wall Plate For Snap-In Jack & Coupler although if you only want a 4-port or less, they make those as well.

You'll also need 1 or more Snap-in BNC Coupler depending on how many jacks you want.  They simply snap right into the wall-plate.

If you end up getting a 6-port connector, and only fill up 4 or 5 ports (or less), you're going to want to fill the blank ones with Snap-In Cover Inserts for Wall Plates.  It's best to do this for many reasons.

The only other thing you may need is a standard PL-259 to BNC adapter which I'm sure you've seen before to adapt the COAX into BNC.
