but how much did you spend on this?
-The scanner (Uniden BC780XLT) cost me $315 in November of 03 or 04. It is discontinued and IMO, one of the best radio scanners ever made.
-BNC cable = ~ $30 for good RG8/U and RG58/U
-BNC Connectors and wall plate = ~ $10
-My primary computer which I stream it on is very expensive (I won't give out the price, since I already had it before I started the feed)
-15+ cumulative hours in a steamy attic in July (not much fun at all..I sure wouldn't recommend it as a new summer sport)
Feeding over LiveATC.net compensation = $0. It is on a volunteer-only basis and I really enjoy doing it. It brings both my passion for aviation, ATC, and thinking skills into one location and I really enjoy that mix.
Please do contribute though, to defray some of the costs of the LiveATC.net website. Although the money donated doesn't always go directly to the feeders, it will provide you and others a better LiveATC.net experience in the future.
