Combo antenna setup
« on: May 24, 2011, 12:28:03 AM »
Hi,

Just wanted to share my new combo antenna setup. The lower one is connected to Uniden UBC-180XLT scanner currently feeding LBBG. The upper one is 1090 MHz omni currently connected to an ADS-B radar feeding on Flightradar24. Cable in use is high quality low loss 50 OHM coaxial one.

I just got an SBS-1 and am thinking about putting up an antenna for voice to go along with the 1090mhz one, but know nothing about antenna requirements. Would there be anything wrong in putting both antennas at the same height?.

Well, I am also not any guru in this area but I think it is best to put the SBS-1 antenna higher than the one for the voice. Definitely it is not good idea to put them at the same height.
