I haven't listened to either feed in a while, but I used to hear a decent amount on JFK tower and PHL tower.  Usually during the evening news time, as thats what many of the helicopters are used for.   In the long run it's really hit or miss.  Sometimes you just happen to hear them.  That's a start, but I'm sure someone else will have more insight.

All day on JFK Tower...Boston Tower has a fair amount all day as well, especially around commute time.

Here at LAS we have close to a couple of hundred helo ops every day.  First departure push in the morning around 0700.  Then more through the day.  Most of them depart to the Grand Canyon for tours.  This happens all day.  The biggest push is in the morning.  Then every night the strip tours go out after sunset.  So that depends on the time of year it is.  The remaining help ops are Metro (H-500's) on patrol with numerous lifeguard flights (Careflight, MercyAir, Angel, etc).  Plus all of the TV news helo ops.  Hope that helps.

I will second ky-las' suggestion for KLAS being a great place to listen to helicopter traffic.  When listening to the KLAS feed you'll hear Landmark and Maverick callsign's a great deal of the day.  Most of the time you'll hear them saying "<callsign>, garage, 3,000", just after departing the ramp, then be cleared for the Trop. departure. They follow Tropicana Blvd all the way east for the tours. My house is just south of Tropicana on the east side of town and I'll sometimes see 4-5 helicopters flying out for tours on weekends.  It's a amazing site to see them all lined up on their way out.

It's weird how it worked out but the office I work in is right under the Callville arrival, around Industrial and Desert Inn, so I can see them come as well. I wish I was able to put up an antenna at work.  :-D
