Hey guys,

Ok so I have a uniden scanner hooked up to my computer and everything is running fine.  I found an antenna extension wire that i want to use but am unsure of how to connect it.  The antenna hooks onto the scanner using a BNC clip ( i believe thats what its called... the one that you kind of put over and then turn into place)

the extension wire that i have has those bnc connectors on both sides.

My problem is that I can hook up the extension to the scanner.. but how do I connect the extension cable to the antenna?  Looking on ebay I found both couplers and adapters.

I would assume that I am just going to use something like that but they all say cctv or coax or soemthing like that.  Now I know I would need to get one that is NOT for coax if i am using these specific connections.  But what are they called?

Anybody know what I am talking about??

thanks in advance..

I think what you're talking about is a BNC to PL-239 connector.

Or just take the connectors into radioshack and match them

yeah radioshack has nothing...
at least not the one closest to me.

Ill figure something out.. im pretty sure its just the bnc female to bnc female...
