I have been meaning to apologize to the people that use to or still do listen to my feed. My ISP is pretty bad in my area as far as uptime on the connection. I have Cavalier DSL if anyone has heard of them. They are mainly northeast based. To the point, if you are ever listening to the feed throughout the day at work etc and the feed goes out. Which it tends to do alot, actually about 8 times daily to my understanding:cry: . So I am sorry that I cannot get a better service so it can be up without ever having down time.
Though, within the last week I now have a dedicated system that is only running the feed. It was my parents old system, which has really helped me in keeping the feed up more. Before I would have problems with my normal/everyday system; trying to run stuff that is hard on my system while also running the feed. So there is my explaination, I don't feel that the ISP will boost the service to be better. But I sure hope they do!

Best of luck, Ed with your ISP. I notice my feed does that occasionally...have you experienced any other problems besides the one you described?
-
Just saw that my alligator clip got knocked off my BNC connector. I don't know how long it was like that. But sorry if you heard that annoying hum. Now fixed!

Ok, since the weather has been cooperating as far as scanning goes. Yesterday I added the MXE25 sector on 35.45, also added ZDC's SWANN18 ex - DQO18 on 132.52. Not sure how the ZDC sector is coming in, but 25 comes in enough to understand. Figured I would let you people that follow the flows and routes know, since you started hearing these mystery sectors.

One of these days soon I'll be adding them here, Ed. I'm so close to Modena where the 2 transmitters are that I can receive them without an antenna! The only problem is that at night MXE25 must get combined with something else, because you stop hearing the aircraft. I think is 127.7 or 132.something As for 132.52, that seems to only be busy during "rush hour." Not too much going on otherwise.
But, as I said, I'll get that going here soon!

Sean,
I remember you talking about you running those sectors. That would be great, because as I told you. I don't pick those up to much. As far as MXE25 combining at night. I find they generally combine with LRP26 - 133.67 (but they do use 133.17 in place of that freq sometimes, they are working on freq probs have been for close to a year now) They can also combine up with MDT27 - 132.2. I find 132.52 to be extremely busy in the morning/ afternoon hours. Always holding on the damn Dylin2.

It was a typo on my part when I requested it, it's still 127.700, it should be changed in the radio shortly. DJ

Back up... Having Mike G bring up all those Area A feeds has invigorated me to bring my feed back online. I hope to get a mast extention to pick up MXE25 and then we'll have 5 sectors in Area A covered.
-
Nice to have it back, thanks ! DJ
-
Rather than posting a new thread which is pointless figured I would let folks that monitor ZNY (DJ, NYARTCC) know that DIXIE68 is using 134.37 rather than 118.97. Could be temp, could be permanent.
-
DIXIE68 is using 134.37 rather than 118.97
Thanks for the info. DJ

I will be taking a flying down to CLT and RDU for a day trip tomorrow. So with that the scanner has to come. Im working on getting another scanner so that as my trips become more frequent it doesn't mess with the uptime of the feed since I have to bring my scanner.
It should be back up when I get back around 8pm tomorrow night 4/10.

Back Up - By the time I got home last night I was way to tired to put it back up.
Edit: The feed is showing down. But it is actually up. Just have to copy the URL and put it in your player.
-
Take a little trip to FLL. Feed will be down until tomorrow night.
