PHX Feed
« on: July 19, 2007, 01:13:36 UTC »
Next week, and the rest of this one, the PHX feed will be down. I am going to EAA Airventure Oshkosh, but when I get back (Saturday), it will be online again.

Yes.
Yes, I do need a filter.
And the reason that it is down is that I am having technical problems with the streaming software. So its not like my computer is off or anything. I am still trying to run through diagnosis, however I have not found the problem. Hopefully we will have it up soon.

I'm not sure how tech savy you are, but you could make a J pole attena and stick it outside your place, or just get a high gain attenna for your scanner.

I would do a feed myself, but I'm to far out in NW valley to pick up the airport traffic, but I do hear Luke ATC pretty well on my little hand scanner. and i would need to build another machine, and I don't think Cox would like me streaming.

My setup for the feed is a Grove directional antenna with low loss coax cable. The problem is, is that I don't have direct line of sight to the transmitters (there are some hills in the way .)

Its Aug, 27th 15:42 AZ time, and I here home voices on your feed and not ATC.

Interesting. Thanks for the heads up.

After further diagnostics, a simple restart of the streaming software fixed the problem. Every day when I come home I listen to the feed to see if there are any problems, but I check the forums first. It is fixed now.

By chance, do you know how long it has been this way?

Sorry I don't,

All I heard was two women voices on it around that time.
