Title: KSDL upgrade

While the KSDL feed has only been up for a few days, I'm not quite happy with the tower reception. I will be replacing the attic mounted DPD Air Blade Indoor antenna with a KB9VBR J-Pole to see if that helps. If it doesn't, I'm moving the feed setup to a different location 1.4 miles from the airport. It is currently 4.6 miles away. Downtime will be minimal.

The new antenna and supporting equipment should arrive on Monday, so I hope to have a better quality feed by Wednesday, 5/11/11.

The new J-Pole antenna is installed and the tower quality is a little bit better. It's not the reception I would like, but maybe I'm just a perfectionist.

The KSDL feed will be down for a couple hours, starting now, for computer maintenance (feline fur extraction).
