Update...bad news and good news.
I happened to be in Philadelphia taking care of a relative for a few days. Stopped by PHL to check on the system and to try and improve reception. The system is hosted at the airport, where there is a bunch of construction going on. The construction necessitated a move to a new (and very well shielded) computer room. This is not good for radio reception. We tried a variety of spots in the room and could not get more than noisy reception from the TRACON and barely any signals from the tower frequencies. Not surprising. We tried.
Because there is not much being heard, I am going to leave the feeds down for now.
Now the good news...
The feed system has a very good chance of being relocated to a *very* good spot on the airport. High off the ground and not in a shielded room. The new location should offer amazing reception, well beyond what we had before. But it could take two weeks or more before the staff can move it and get it connected to the network.
Stay tuned and hope for the best. We also have a very good chance of getting feeds on for PNE and TTN as well, soon.
Thanks,
Dave
