Title: KJFK/KBOS down

Both feeder sites down due to either power outages or network outages.  Hopefully back within a day or so.

Thanks for the information on the KJFK feeds.

I think I am probably the number one JFK Twr listener, as well as also enjoying the other JFK feeds. When every these feeds are down they're always missed very much. What can I say I have the Airline and Air Traffic Control Bug!

What a Strong Late Season Nor’easter, let’s hope they're not out to long?

Please let us know if there are any updates on the KJFK feeds status.

Good luck to those who enjoy KBOS's feeds as much as I enjoy KJFK's feeds.

The two most popular, exciting feeds on the network, they will be sorely missed, let's hope normality is restored soon.  In the mean time KSFO with 2 pairs of parallell runways in use all at once, seems like fun, time to go exploring the other airports.

No other airport will be the same as the good old kjfk, eh?

I also miss it, listen to it about 10-12 hours a day (at work and at home). I'm feeling a little bit crabby without this background "sound" ;)

Well I'm rather new to this but I too like the Boston and JFK feeds the best with SFO next.

Since we're out of luck the last day or so I listened to PHL and found it funny.  The controller(s) there don't seem to have the flavor of the one at JFK.  The JFK guys are more like the funny cops yo see in the movies directing traffic with big gloves and swift motions.

I think one of JFK guys has a real problem with one of the South American carriers.  He usually is very stern in his "you didn't get a single transmission right tonight" speech.

KJFK is the premier feed in my opinion. It's so far above the others in intrigue, interest, character and quality. The other feeds are good too, but it's the only feed I'd actually pay a fee for. Is there a place to donate?

I've been unable to reach the feed site in New York.  I can only imagine that they are on vacation or had some problems related to the storm.

So JFK is down until further notice...if someone very close to JFK can provide a backup feed, please contact me off the forums via email to dave <at> liveatc.net.

This feed is normally ultra-reliable...but sometimes things happen.  Remember we're dealing with sometimes fragile consumer-grade Internet connections.
