It has been down for a long time though.  I guess I never realized I was a KJFK Tower addict.  I hope it comes back soon.

You might be able to get your fix tonight... have to figure out where to put the setup. My office, or another room?

No problemo, the cable guy is making me wait at home until 7pm... so you should have the feed real soon

Would that be just the Tower?

The entire JFK feed setup (all 7 or 8 feeds) is part of a system that LiveATC owns.  Lezam has been kind enough to house it and is in the process of setting it up.  It should be back within the next couple of days or so.

Yeah, we don't want it to overheat. I'm glad you are getting it sorted out and I haven't minded waiting because frankly, I've always prefered that if a feed comes back, it comes back when it can properly come back rather than come back asap as a very shaky feed. So, just take your time. :)

Yeah, thats how I roll. Im trying to make it more permanent then a quick fix. I know everyone really needs their jfk fix, but if I can get everything working and stable permanently, then I wont have to be bothered with troubleshooting anymore. Its about 99.99% done now. Just needs to be wired up...

Thank you so much for getting it back up? Out of curiosity, will GND be combined with DEL again, because I think it's only picking up delivery right now?

They are supposed to be, might not be on scan right now. Will check it when I get home on sunday.

Thank You for getting the KJFK feed back up. The Audio sounds great! Are you located close to JFK?

I kind of noticed too how quiet the delivery/ground feed was, hopefully it gets sorted out. :)

Thanks for getting the feeds sorted out, good work. We really do appreciate it. :)

what kind of scanner are you using because you get really really good reception.  But I don't know how far you are away from the field.  But I would like to know since I am in the market right now for one

We are using a Uniden Bearcat BC350A, external Jpole. I am literally less then a mile from the field, so I get great reception. If your in the market, check out the radioshack scanners. Theyre unidens, but cheaper.

alright thanks, I just need to get a decent one.  the one I am using righ tnow is from the 80's.  I could host a feed at KFFZ in AZ, I live 2 miles away but I need a scanner that hooks up to the internet.  So thats why I was wondering

Possibly Internet connection problems...the feeder will hopefully deal with it today.  Hang in there.

Yeah, it was a local internet connection. I came home earlier in the day and refreshed the modem, but it happened again. I just refreshed the modem again and it should be working now.

Ah, technology. Things made by imperfect humans just tend to be tiny bit imperfect themselves.

And luckily there are always many other feeds to listen to. ;)

I am trying to listen to CAMRN 127.4 on 1/31/09 from 0000Z to 0030Z and the link does not work. I had a KAL tell me he had 35 minutes of fuel left until total fuel exhaustion and declared an emergency. I wanted to see how I did and if I could learn to do better. It keeps sending me to 2039Z to 0000Z.

                               Thanks   KL
