Title: KEMT planned, but indeterminate length downtime
Post by: Unbeliever on August 31, 2009, 06:32:05 PM
Hello all,

I just closed on a house and will be moving soon.  I have to fix the place up first, but during the move, KEMT will be down for an indeterminate time.  I have to bring down the KEMT feed during the move.  Maybe 3-4 weeks from now. (3rd or 4th week of September).

I have to pull down my current antenna, set up a new mount and run the feed for a while to make sure it's worth putting back on line.  I'm 3ish miles farther away, but 600 feet higher elevation.

Congrats on the move and thanks for the heads up.  3 miles should not make a difference, especially with the higher elevation.  But you'll be busy with other things for a bit.  :-)

Took the antenna down today, Sunday September 20th.

I fully intend to bring it back up at the new place, but there are other higher priority items in the short term to take care of first.  Chimney mount hardware came in the mail on Friday, so I have everything I need for a new feed.  Just be patient for a while.

Thanks!
