KBDR/KHPN/ZBW Down UFN
« on: June 01, 2006, 06:45:15 PM »
Unfortunately, due to treacherous winds, rain, lightning and thunderstorms in the area, the KBDR/KHPN/ZBW feed will be down until further notice.  I won't be home until Sunday afternoon, but I'm hoping the problem is rectified by then.

The intense storm has knocked out all telephone lines, cable TV and internet, and our pool pump.  I sure hope the J-pole wasn't hit by lightning...

Jason

P.S. See SIGMET 71E for more information on the convective activity in the area:

The KBDR/KHPN/ZBW feed is now back up.  The lightning hit luckily did not affect any feeding equipment (antenna, coax, scanner, and computer) but did end up frying my satellite box and router.  The router to replace the fried one ended up being defective right out of the box, so the feed wasn't returned to "UP" status until late this afternoon when a second replacement router was installed

Sorry for any inconvenience,
Jason
