Title: KBCT feed output crippled
Post by: v1dls on April 01, 2008, 10:26:48 AM
A south Florida spring thunderwhomper trashed my J-pole
antenna.   The coax cable is gently swinging on the eave of
the house.   Suprisingly the reception ain't too bad.  Once I
get enough courage to climb up and get what remains of the antenna
down, I'll restore the feed to it's normal service level.

Congratulations!  That should provide even better reception.   Do you have contacts there or did you just cold call an FBO/shop about the idea of hosting the feed right at the field?

I operate a repair facility there at KBTV (Avionics and aircraft service) so computers are in my office, antennas on the roof and I feed to Dave via a T1.

Ah, so you are the contact.  Thanks for the feed.
