Understood, just listening now, very poor volume and distorted - NOT a criticism, just a reception report.

Bye, Barry

How wonderful. Now we have two EIDW feeds, none of which work!

Go jump in your lake !!! You have no idea the difficulties and expense we are going through at this end to bring the EIDW streams up to the exacting sound quality that you  guys are now demanding
This type of sacarstic  comment does not help... your are just pissing off a couple of guys over here who are trying to  get Dublin back up and running in what spare time we have   M50

Not trying to piss anyone off mate (to borrow your term). I'm sure it costs time and money. I am/was one of EIDW's biggest listeners/fans but frustratingly it's been off-line more than it's on. And historically when it goes down, it seems to be off for months at a time. Now that there are two EIDW streams I would have thought the "up rate" would have improved. It obviously hasn't. I'm merely pointing out that fact. If that annoys you, well I don't know what to say, except I suggest perhaps you reconsider who should be jumping in a lake!

I don't really understand how there was no offense intended.  :-)

Nowhere on this site do we promise that all feeds will be up all the time.

It is a massive undertaking on the part of LiveATC (me) and all the volunteers here to keep things running as smoothly as they do.

Many listeners take all this for granted.

I find generally in life that those who complain the most are also those who contribute the least.  I have to wonder whether the same people complain as loudly to their cable companies when a channel disappears - a company they actually pay big bucks to!  :-)

A little patience goes a long way - nobody here is owed anything, and that is exactly why it is kept a free service.

All that being said, the track record here for feed uptime is fantastic.

-Dave

M50....as the saying goes, feck the begrudgers! I'm sure that the silent majority appreciate all you do, allied to the fact that you're hopeful of getting a 2nd feed up & running.

Anyone familar with the feed knows that M50 tends to be away from home for significant periods. You don't need to be Einstein to figure out why the feed is therefore down for a while at times.

Looking forward to the return of EIDW.

Just had a listen in and the volume is very, very low on the stream at present (even when I pump up the volume on the laptop to max). I'm presuming I'm not the only one with this problem as the Dublin feed is usually near the top of the Top 50 feed listenership, but tonight it isn't. Thought it best to report it on here. Any idea what the problem could be?

Just hearing a fuzzy noise on it at the moment.

Thanks for providing the feed. Looking forward to it being back in action.

I listened last night and it sounded basically fine.

The feeder is away for a bit so please be patient as there is no way to make changes at the moment.

And we're still working on getting the second EIDW feed online.

Thanks,
Dave

Thanks for the feeds, really enjoyable to listen to.

The "Tower" feed sounds fine most of the time but when the controller speaks it seems to over modulate the mic and it makes a sharp noise on the feed.
Maybe turning down the mic  on the feed may fix the issue.

Once again well done to all concerned on maintaining the feeds, I know how difficult it can be at times as I maintain some marine VHF streams myself.
