GOOD NEWS for EIDW fans...I have it now back on air as I have returned to Ireland

Good to have you back M50. Really enjoy the EIDW feed. Have been lurking on the site for a while but just want to say how much the feed is appreciated.

Thanks for the appreciation....I enjoy providing the feed.....However I have go frequently to North America ,,therefore I have to take it down as my family here cannot keep it going for me when I am  away......I am   looking  at a second feed provider

Hi m50, can I take it that you're in North America - as Dublin's feed has been down since early June?  Do you expect it still to return on 17th July?  Echoing sentiments of Grams221 - good job, well done and for which many thanks.

I am a flight back to Dublin this week...and all being well should have the stream up some time on the 17th m50

my pc seems unstable since my return ...EIDW stream intermittent..work in progress to see what is the cause M50

Welcome back again M50 - unfortunately your PC isn't the only unstable thing in Ireland at the moment. :-D

After a lot of trials I  have EIDW  up on stream again...... .Hope everything holds up OK ... I welcome    reports   Thanks  M50

Great to see EIDW back on-line. The volume seems very low. Is that something you can control?

I guess I am not having the best of streams lately,,having just got over hardware problems  which will result in having to buy a new  a new pc...we now have builders in the house   which means the power  supply in my home will be intermittent...however I  have spoken wth a possible second provider for the EIDW stream....these discussions are on going..I am very optimistic that EIDW 2 will come on air in the future  and we will divide up the frequencies between EIDW 1 and 2     M50

M50,

First of all, thanks for the feed it's a great feed and many people in this part of the world obviously enjoy it as it is normally in the top three of the feeds being listened to.

I know your having hardware and builder problems but was just wondering if you have any update on the Dublin feed at this point?

I am very disappointed that due the ongoing difficulties already outlined EIDW has been off for some weeks .  It is a sourse of great personal pride to me that I am  able to provide a stream that is in the top listening list.
I have been a fan of listening to ATC since the early 1960s when as there were no vhf recievers commercially available my brother and I built our own...
But enough of the sentiment lets get down to the current situation
As things now stand EIDW should be back on air around Oct 21st

However we are looking at a backup EIDW service which could eventually lead to the stream dividing........ EIDW One being Dublin area control and EIDW Two being tower clearance and ground movement

Dave has been able to find a second stream provider in an excellent location to take on this with me.I am very grateful to this new provider who is currently getting his outdoor antenna sorted out.

We will keep everyone updated on the progress of all of this       Thank you   M50
