A new feed is running delivering 118.9 to LiveATC.
Receiver is located in Havelock Quebec on my 200 ft tower.
For the tekies:
Antenna is a Sinclair SRL210-A-120.
Antenna is located about 100 ft up the tower fed with 1/2 heliax
Installed to clean up the signal, is a Sinclair SRL120-1-F pass cavity.
Receiver is a BC350.
Audio is backhauled via my microwave network. The audio travels from the tower in Havelock Quebec to Mt.Mansfield (Stowe Vt) and down to my OPS center.
From there it's again microwaved over to KBTV. Then finally, the feed is uplinked to LIVEATC. Whew!
Enjoy and feel free to comment

Holy crap..
Some lengths people will go to stream ATC online ;)
Just a question.. from the Antenna to the actual server that is streaming the audio, what is the distance (in miles or kms).
-
Uplink PC is about 103 miles down the voice circuit.
Extreme... naw. Next project is to backhaul Fort Drum Toweraudio ...
-
Cool.
Im curious though.. is this all private hardware (the microwave links, etc..)? A hobby?
-
I own the network (even in Canada)
-
That's awesome! Glad to have you on board.

HI,
I am trying to listen to this feed, but I get nothing. Windows player sems to be up, but I hear nothing. I tried other feeds from other airports and I have no problems. Is there something I am doing wrong, or is the feed not working.???
Thanks
-
Hmm.. will look at the feed tonight. I can hear the audio on the microwave channel, but connot get to the PC to see whats up there. Surely an easy fix
-
CYUL Feed back up. D4 channel card was replaced.. lightning
Comments on audio levels welcomed.
-
I still cannot here anything. If I go to :? other airports, everything works fine!!!!
-
Still can't hear anything on this feed. Is it up???
-
Will look at this tomorrow.. Thursday. Out of town (doing work) :-o
-
any luck??? Is there an issue with the feed??
-
Sorry did not reply earlier. Remote receiver in Canada is OOS Lightning strike took out the receiver.
Got to find another BC350.
Looking for a replacement and will head back up there
-
Thanks for the info. I will try again in the future and see if it is up.

Got the receiver repaired and back online. Sensitivity of this receiver is about 90% of factory specs. Lightning strikes sure make a mess of receivers :x
Although the aircrafts sound fine, keep in mind I am listening to ATC from 39 miles from CYUL' ATC radio (located in DDO) and so centre does not sound 100% clean.
