Buffalo feed (KBUF)
« on: October 13, 2006, 10:23:30 AM »
The Buffalo feed will be down until power is restored. Big snow storm here last night, thousands without power. Hope to get it back up later today or tomorrow.

I got out of Buffalo Thursday afternoon when there was only 3 inches on the ground, Dan.    What a mess you all have there.  When did you lose power and how long was it out?

Peter,
You got out just in time, the Buffalo terminal lost power Thursday night, the Glideslope and Localizer was down ( i'm guessing because of the power failure ) and 5 or 6 inbound flights were in holding patterns around 10pm. Most of them had to divert to Rochester. The power for the Buffalo feed was ok then as you can listen to the archives untill at least 10:30pm. Not sure when it went out because the scanner and computer are at my work location in South Lockport and I live north of Lockport where we only got a dusting! As of this morning (Sunday) the power is still out and last night a delivery vehicle caught the T1 line that supplies our high speed internet connection and ripped it off the building,  it was hanging low across the parking lot. You can't believe the damage this snow storm caused here, I have never seen anything like it! Not looking forward to this week at work.  :|
