I think the EHAM feed is a good approach/departures feed and
listening to the current traffic I would hesitate to add more frequencies;
it is busy enough as it is now. Compliments for the technical quality
of the feed, good reception, good readability.
Ok. That sounds good. Yeah, when it's busy it can get very confusing if there are lots of frequencies in the same feed. :)
And yes, it's a good feed and the quality is great.
René, is the EHAM tower feed down that you posted in this thread? It says file not found for me.
If there is another link, please let me know. I'd love to listen to it.
Both feeds have been down for a few days now... I hope either of them will back some day in the future... :?
Is that a permanently or just for some period of time? :?
Not working.
Now EHAM#2 is up again, I'ld like to take some time for a review of that stream:
Reception and readability is good; however it feels like too many busy frequencies are scanned at the same time... splitting the stream in three (tower, ground and startup/clearance) may be appropriate given the size of traffic.
(No offence intended: one stream is better than none at all! )
Edit:
I listened into the evening and with subsiding traffic it became possible to track planes... My 11pm-midnight (local time) verdict is "nice amount of traffic" and "great stream".
What's going on with the EHAM#2 feed at the moment, because I, at least, cannot hear anything in it. Well, apart from sounds that sound like occasionally door banging and shifting of a chair, and maybe clicking of a mouse. Has this feed accidentally turned into monitoring the feeders home or something? :-D Because it certainly doesn't sound like ATC to me. Anyone else noticed? To me it sounds like a stuck mike in an office... I recall hearing a ringing phone in the background.
Yeah, but it certainly doesn't sound like ATC. Right now you can hear music playing there, like in the background. Like a radio or a stereo. The feed is certainly not picking up any ATC frequencies now.
During daylight hours the feed will be set to Amsterdam radar only.
This will only be for a couple of days for testing purposes.
What days did you do this ? I'd like to listen to the archives with only the Amsterdam Radar frequencies being scanned. I'm trying to put together a frequency/routing database and it would be a lot easier to follow what is going on without Tower/Ground in there. Thanks.
Sounds like an interesting project, good luck !
Loving the radar feed - Very cool!
Thanks!
i was searching the internet for more information. I found and like your radar live feed.
Will it be up en running this weekend..?!
The feed is set to Eurocontrol today, good two-way comms.
Rene,QuoteThe feed is set to Eurocontrol today, good two-way comms.
Thanks for doing that, nice to have the variety of hearing something different (without scanning to many freqs at the same time) !
Sounds like you had the Ruhr Sector on channel 132.615 selected, plus maybe a couple of other freqs ?
