(love the sound of them as the fly over our house, adds excitement to the weekend)

The North American Aerospace Defense Command, or NORAD, said Saturday that it had dispatched an F-15 at two separate occasions when civilian aircraft failed to adhere to flight restrictions over Palm Beach County due to President Donald Trump’s Thanksgiving visit.

The first intercept on Saturday occurred at 12:30 p.m. when NORAD directed an F-15 “to investigate a Cesna 172 aircraft that was not in communication with air traffic controllers and entered the Temporary Flight Restriction area surrounding Palm Beach without proper clearance,” according to a NORAD statement in response to a query from the Palm Beach Post.

NORAD said the fighter jet “escorted the aircraft out of the restricted airspace” and the incursion “was resolved without incident,” the statement said.

NORAD said the second intercept took place around 1:45 p.m. In that instance, NORAD said it sent an F-15 to “investigate a Rockwell Commander aircraft that was not in communication with air traffic controllers and entered the Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) area surrounding Palm Beach, FL without proper clearance.”

The fighter jet also escorted that aircraft out of the flight restriction zone “without incident.”
