London City Airport cancels ALL flights as Storm Eunice sparks chaos across UK airports
LONDON City Airport has cancelled all flights in and out of the capital, while a large number have been cancelled from Heathrow
Flights from London City have been cancelled until 16.30 this afternoon. More than 80 British Airways flights have so far been cancelled from the two airports. Passengers travelling from Heathrow have been advised to double-check the status of their flights before travelling to the airport.  Nearly 30 flights have also been cancelled to and from Bristol and Cardiff airports.

Meanwhile, customers flying from Gatwick and Stansted have been warned of delays and cancellations.

This comes after the Met Office issued a rare red warning for wind across multiple regions of the UK, including London and South East England; East of England; South West England; and Wales.

Wind speeds are expected to reach up to 100mph in some areas, with widespread gusts of 60-70mph.The forecaster has warned that the strong winds will bring with it a "danger to life" as a result of flying debris and damage to buildings and homes, including roofs being blown off and power lines brought down.

It also said that roads, bridges and railway lines will be closed, causing delays and cancellations to bus, train, ferry services and flights. Earlier today, London City tweeted: "Due to #StormEunice there is disruption to services in and out of London City.

"Passengers, please contact your airline for the latest flight information and updates.

"If you are travelling to the airport, please allow extra time, as road and rail networks may be affected."

Heathrow earlier warned of "last-minute delays", with a spokesperson for the airport saying: "Storm Eunice is forecast to cause poor weather conditions across the UK tomorrow.
