New Japanese TV Drama "TOKYO AIRPORT"
« on: October 15, 2012, 12:30:29 AM »
A new Japanese TV drama aired today titled, "TOKYO AIRPORT". The drama takes place at Tokyo's Haneda Airport starring actress Kyoko Fukada who plays a rookie tower controller.

I've watched the first episode online and I must says it's pretty authentic. ATC procedurals are right on and not dumbed down to "Hollywood Aviation" jargon.

My wife told me about "Tokyo Airport" and I thought I would pass this info to the LiveATC crowd.

Here are some links:

Fuji TV's official site: http://www.fujitv.co.jp/tokyo-airport/index.html (Japanese)

Scroll down where you will see links to the latest Tokyo Airport Episodes as they become available.

Enjoy!

watching it. 3rd episode as of 30Oct.

1st episode (let me wacth first  :-D)
2nd episode air port grounded due to man running in runway (I not sure what is the term)
3rd episode ATC and pilot argument (I assume quite normal if both is quite newbie??)

so far focus is on tower, no area control yet.

Japan Air, ANA.... clear to land, wind speed and that's it..

Nice series though...
