Title: FAA to crack down on people who target planes with lasers

About time.

Federal Aviation Administration officials on Wednesday plan to announce they will impose civil penalties on people who point lasers into the cockpit of aircraft. [snip]

The maximum civil penalty the FAA can impose for violating the regulation is $11,000 per violation. [snip]

A Delta reported a laser the other night on short approach. It must be tough to capture these laser people.

Currently listening to NYPD Helo PD14 tracking down a green laser incident near LGA. News7 helo illuminated first. We'll see if they can catch the perpetrator.
